Speaker: 2022 GAR President Joey Tucker Joey B. Tucker is the 2022 President for the Georgia REALTORS®, and a member of the Athens Area Association of REALTORS® (AAAR). He was licensed in 2002, obtained his Broker’s license in 2006, and is currently an Associate Broker with Coldwell Banker Upchurch Realty in Athens. Joey is very active at the local, state, and national levels of the REALTOR® association. He is a two-time recipient of the REALTOR® of the Year award (2013, 2016) for AAAR. Joey served AAAR President in 2011, President of the Athens MLS in 2008, and is a current member of the Board of Directors, as well as serving and chairing almost all committees within his AAAR. Joey was the 2017 Vice President of Member and Public Services, 2013 Dean for GRI, Chair of the GAR YPN 2012-2014 (Young Professionals Network), Regional Director for Region 5, and a member of the Executive Committee. This course is designed to educate real estate agents on everything they need to know about selling a Hud-owned property. We will cover in this course how to register with HUD, setting up an agent selling account, how the bidding process works for owner occupants v. investors, special HUD programs like “Good Neighbor Next Door,” and FHA 203K, earnest money requirement, the electronic bidding process & contract esigning, escrow repairs, what are the different bidding periods, who is responsible for the utility activation, contract extension and so much more. We have included a demonstration of submitting an online bid and how to set up an agent account. There are online tools that will be shared in this course for agents to use as a resource.
