An evening of fun and racing Attendees will experience the fun of watching the actual Derby, eating fantastic BBQ, sipping on beverages, and "betting" (fake of course) on actual horse races while mingling with 200 plus of your soon to be closest friends. The Walton-Barrow Board of Realtors® Derby Day is an evening like none other. The event is held at an actual horse farm in Monroe, Georgia. Upon arrival, guests may see actual Tennessee Walking Horses, not race horses. The setting is serene and beautiful. Following check-in, you will be treated to beverages of your choice, including mint juleps! Following drinks, guest will be treated to a fantastic bar-b-que dinner and all the fixin's, including derby pie. After dinner, guest will see the actual Derby to be followed by digital horse races where you can place your bets on the horse of your choice. The Willow Room at The Factory at Walton Mill 600 South Broad St, Monroe, GA, United StatesSPEAKER: Brad Mock Senior Director of Governmental Affairs Brad Mock joined the Georgia REALTORS® staff in 2014, and currently serves as the Senior Director of Government Affairs. He oversees GAR’s legislative affairs, issue advocacy, campaign services, RPAC contributions, and also serves as a lobbyist. He is a previous member of NAR’s Government Affairs Director Advisory Group. Brad is a graduate of the University of West Georgia where he received both a Bachelors in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration. Brad is currently the University of West Georgia’s Alumni Board of Directors Chair. He is a 2018 Zell Miller Foundation Leadership Institute graduate, and a two-time recipient of the “Rising Star” award from James magazine’s Top Lobbyist Issue.
