Special Recognition Awards
Each year, WBBOR honors members who go above and beyond — in service, leadership, community, and professional excellence. Nominations are accepted throughout the year and celebrated at our annual Holiday Gala.
Nominations for all Special Recognition Awards may be submitted at any time throughout the year. The deadline to submit is November 1st. All award recipients are recognized and celebrated at the WBBOR Annual Holiday Gala held each December. Nominations should be specific and detailed, describing the nominee's accomplishments and why they are deserving of the award.
The Awards
The highest honor presented by WBBOR, recognizing a member who represents the very best of our profession — held in high regard by fellow REALTORS® and the community alike.
- REALTOR® Spirit: Exemplifies high ethical principles, faithfulness to the Code of Ethics, and promotes good real estate practice among peers and the public.
- Civic Activity: Active participation in civic organizations, charitable causes, community commissions, or service groups.
- Business Accomplishments: Recognized for outstanding service to clients, creative business practices, and professional achievements.
- Board Activity: Offices held, committee involvement, educational work, and special assignments within WBBOR.
- State & National Participation: Involvement in Georgia Association of REALTORS® and NAR committees, conventions, and leadership roles.
The WBBOR REALTOR® of the Year winner can advance to compete for the state title at the Georgia Association of REALTORS®. Special Awards Committee chooses from past local Award recipients.
Recognizing Outstanding Affiliate Partners
Presented to an Affiliate member who has demonstrated exceptional support of the Board and its membership throughout the year.

- Professional Standards: High professional conduct and cooperative relationships with members.
- Leadership & Civic Involvement: Leadership positions, committee work, educational contributions, and participation in civic or charitable activities.
Personally Selected by the WBBOR President
The President's Award is a personal selection by the WBBOR President, given to a member whose service and contributions to the Association go far beyond any single role or assignment. There is no formal application — the President identifies the recipient based on direct observation of their impact.
- Continuous, dedicated service to WBBOR.
- Goes above and beyond to support association initiatives, events, and education.
- Demonstrates strong ethical conduct and holds an active real estate license in good standing.
- Generously shares their time and experience in ways that benefit the entire membership.
Members with Association 3 Years or Less
Presented to a newer WBBOR member who has already made a meaningful impact through community involvement, board participation, and professional excellence — all within their first three years of membership.
- REALTOR® Spirit: High ethical principles, faithfulness to the Code of Ethics, and commitment to good real estate practice.
- Civic Activities: Participation in civic, charitable, or community organizations (current year activities).
- Business Accomplishments: Recognized for outstanding client service and professional conduct.
- Board Activity: Active involvement in WBBOR committees, events, and educational opportunities (current year).

Honoring Compassion & Community Service
The Silver Box Award recognizes a WBBOR member whose humanitarian efforts and community involvement set them apart. Our members do countless good deeds — this award ensures those efforts are seen and celebrated.
- Must be a member in good standing of WBBOR.
- Nominations must be submitted in writing and must specifically describe the nominee's humanitarian contributions.
- Judging is based on humanitarian efforts and community involvement — not real estate production or board participation.
- A significant contribution of personal time, materials, money, or other resources to a community organization or program.
- Only current year activities will be considered.
Nominate from your office: The Awards Committee encourages at least one nomination per member office. If you know a fellow member who is quietly making a difference in our community, this is your chance to recognize them.
